KID MEMORY VERSES

By January 8, 2017 No Comments

Something that Holly (my wife) has been AWESOME at is helping the kids memorize Scripture. Here are the current verses that they read, memorize, and repeat back to her.

I have found memorizing Scripture to be one of the most helpful and beneficial tools in renewing my mind and shaping the lens on of how I see life. Honestly, I am in awe when I think of how God has used His Word to transform my life and give me wisdom for so many circumstances and situations that I have faced.

** feel free to copy and paste these into a word doc for your kids or yourself haha

Joshua 1:9

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Deuteronomy 4:29

But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you search for Him with all your heart and all your soul.

Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd,
I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul;
He guides me in the paths of righteousness
for His name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I fear no evil, for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You have anointed my head with oil;
My cup overflows. Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Psalm 24:1-5

The earth is the Lord’s, and all it contains,
the world, and those who dwell in it. For He has founded it upon the seas
and established it upon the rivers. Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord?
And who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood
and has not sworn deceitfully. He shall receive a blessing from the Lord
and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

Psalm 27:1

The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the defense of my life;
Whom shall I dread?

 Psalm 27:4

One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
to behold the beauty of the Lord
and to meditate in His temple.

Psalm 31:14

But as for me, I trust in You, O Lord,
I say, “You are my God.”

O satisfy us in the morning with Your lovingkindness,
that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.

Psalm 100

Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth. Serve the Lord with gladness;
Come before Him with joyful singing. Know that the Lord Himself is God;
It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving
and His courts with praise.
Give thanks to Him, bless His name. For the Lord is good;
His lovingkindness is everlasting
And His faithfulness to all generations.
